The 22nd of April 2022 is Earth Day – a day to promote awareness of our impact on the environment and take action collectively to reduce climate change. earthday.org, an organisation working to drive positive climate action for the planet, shared this message for Earth Day 2022:
This is the moment to change it all — the business climate, the political climate, and how we take action on climate. Now is the time for the unstoppable courage to preserve and protect our health, our families, our livelihoods… together, we must Invest In Our Planet.
Because a green future is a prosperous future.
We need to act (boldly), innovate (broadly), and implement (equitably). It’s going to take all of us. All in. Businesses, governments, and citizens — everyone accounted for, and everyone accountable. A partnership for the planet.
With this message in mind, smart companies are discovering that it is no longer a choice between going green and growing long-term profits — sustainability is the path to prosperity.
