We are delighted to announce that Talbott’s Biomass Energy Systems LTD have been shortlisted for the Pioneer Award in the 17th British Renewable Energy Awards 2022.
The British Renewable Energy Awards 2022 are hosted by The Association for Renewable Energy and Clean Technology (REA), the largest renewable energy and associated clean technology body in the UK.
This year, the REA are hosting their annual British Renewable Energy Awards and Gala Dinner outside of London for the first time. In line with the Government’s ‘Levelling Up‘ agenda, The REA have opted to host the awards at the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham, in order to better represent the region’s achievements and showcase local potential. The awards event is scheduled to take place on 9th June 2022.
Talbott’s were nominated by Willerby Holiday Homes, following an installation of two Talbott’s MWE 999 Biomass Heating Systems. Take a look at their nomination submission below:
Willerby Ltd have been manufacturing leisure homes in the UK for over 70 years. In 2020 they chose to install 2 x Talbott’s MWE 999 biomass heating systems. The heat generated by the boilers is used to heat their 24,000m² production facility at Hedon Road, replacing the fossil heating system. They are also using wood off-cuts from their production processes to run the biomass boilers. This prevents 840 wagon trips that have been required annually, eliminating 5000 tons of waste sent to landfills. The project saves 1000 tonnes of CO² in gas reduction alone.
