It is a directive that has a set of regulations that are designed to ensure the safety of products being used in explosive atmospheres.
At Talbott’s we take Health and Safety seriously, as handling, manufacturing, or transporting combustible dust can lead to fires, flash-fires, and explosions which causes personal injuries, and fatalities if the hazard is not controlled properly.
Therefore, our EX Silos are fully compliant with ATEX requirements.
Every employer must ensure that all sufficient steps are taken to prevent the formation of explosive mixtures. If the explosive mix is present then measures must be taken to avoid ignition. However, if ignition does occur, the effects of any explosion must be controlled and minimised, making sure that the workers’ safety is not put at risk.
